Hey all, here’s a super quick little before and after featuring Lola, the pit mix that was just with us for a two week board and train for massive pulling, dog reactivity, and dog aggression issues. Lola was the girl I used for our recent “intro to prong and stop a dog from pulling” video. Lola was used to living in a constant state of excitement, anxiety, and stress, and of course these factors played a major role in her behavior and choices she made. Once we addressed the state of mind behind her issues, everything improved massively, and we were left with a very sweet, tuned-in, and happy to work young lady. We even had her working around and playing with several dogs. I can’t stress enough how important it is to break through the state of mind issues before worrying about fixing the big ticket items. Lola’s owner reports some pretty magnificent walks as well as calm, relaxed, and obedient behavior in the house. And remember, she had given up walking Lola because her on leash behavior was so dangerous and stressful. Check her out and let me know what you think! And remember, if you’ve got a dog that looks like Lola, there are answers, don’t give up!! 🙂
