THREE, FOUR, five & six-week obedience & BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION programs

Our internationally recognized board-and-train program covers every aspect and level of training. From puppy work to standard obedience, to the most severe behavior issues. We are Los Angeles’ most trusted training company, with well over a decade of experience, and thousands of happy clients. 

As mentioned above, we cover all levels and degrees of training needs, but we built our worldwide reputation helping the tougher cases that others were unable to. In that pursuit, we’ve developed a unique approach and system; one that not only transforms these extremely difficult dogs but which also transfers seamlessly to the owners. And if we’re this successful with the tough ones, imagine the results with puppies and more straightforward cases. 

At TGD we specialize in low-level, communication-style E-Collar training. Our state-of-the-art training approach enables owners to have a fully off-leash reliable dog indoors and outdoors, as well as relaxed, stress-free walks. No more bribing, begging, or losing your cool; just dependable training, a great relationship, and a dog you can enjoy anywhere. 

We pride ourselves on boutique-style, specialized, one-on-one training. By keeping the volume of dogs we work with limited, it enables us to devote more quality time and attention to each dog. This allows us to develop a unique game plan for each dog, and their particular needs, which of course equals the very best results possible.

Our 3-week program is reserved for dogs with minimal issues. Pulling on-leash, jumping on people, nuisance barking, hyperactive behavior, door rushing, etc. This program includes off-leash reliability for all of the basic commands – Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, Place, Heel, Come/Recall – as well as Crate Training, Waiting for Food, and Waiting at Thresholds.

Our 4, 5, and 6-week programs include all of the above off-leash obedience but are also focused on resolving more serious behavior issues. In these programs, we address all forms of unwanted behavior, including, but not limited to:

  • Dog-to-Dog Aggression

  • Human Aggression

  • Food and/or Resource Guarding

  • Separation Anxiety

  • Severe Fear Issues

  • Reactivity On-Leash.

These programs include a total of  5.5 hours of one-on-one training/coaching: a 30-minute meeting at our facility at the time of the drop-off; a 60-minute pre-go-home “owner preparation” training session; two 90-minute go-home sessions at the end of the program at our facility, where we will transfer all of the information, techniques, and strategies to you to ensure continued success; a 60-minute post-training follow up at our facility or at your home (within the immediate Chatsworth area); and email/phone support after the program is completed.

Each program also includes our book “Love Them By Leading Them”, a 15-ft long line for continuing the program at your home, and a Herm Sprenger Prong collar.
